Warmly welcome you on arrival in Seam Reap International Airport. Our guide will pick up to your hotel to check-in, and you will have time to take a rest after a long flight. And then the rest of day is on your own, you can make an impression on the city by night by exploring yourself.

Today, we will spend a full day exploring the highlights of the Angkor Temple Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important archaeological sites in Southeast Asia. This vast complex preserves the magnificent remains of the Khmer Empire’s former capitals, showcasing remarkable and intricate Khmer architecture.

Our first stop is Ta Prohm, a temple famously embraced by jungle trees. Built in the late 12th and early 13th centuries by King Jayavarman VII, it once served as a Buddhist monastery and university.

We then continue to Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world. Constructed in the early 12th century by King Suryavarman II, this iconic temple represents the pinnacle of classical Khmer architecture and symbolizes Mount Meru in Hindu cosmology.

In the afternoon, we explore the mysterious Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Khmer Empire, also built by King Jayavarman VII in the late 12th century. Here, we visit notable sites within the complex, including the Bayon Temple, famous for its smiling stone faces, the Baphuon, the Terrace of the Elephants, the Terrace of the Leper King, and the former Royal Palace area. We will also visit Preah Khan Temple, another impressive structure from the same period.

In the evening, you will enjoy a dinner accompanied by a traditional Apsara dance performance. Apsara is a classical Khmer dance form, originating from the Royal Ballet of Cambodia, known for its graceful movements and elaborate costumes, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the country.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be picked up for a journey to the northeast of Siem Reap to visit Beng Mealea. Built in the early 12th century by King Suryavarman II in a style similar to Angkor Wat, Beng Mealea is often considered a prototype of the famous temple. Surrounded by jungle and largely unrestored, it offers a unique and adventurous exploration experience.

Enjoy lunch at a local house before returning to Siem Reap.

On the way back, we will visit Banteay Srei, a small yet exquisite temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. Built in the 10th century and crafted from pink sandstone, it is renowned for its intricate carvings and is considered a masterpiece of Khmer art.

Return to Siem Reap, where the rest of the day is at your leisure.

In the morning, after breakfast, we will drive to the southern part of Siem Reap to embark on a short boat trip on Tonle Sap Lake.

Tonle Sap is the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia and plays a vital role in Cambodia’s ecosystem and economy. Many communities live along the lake and depend mainly on fishing and seasonal agriculture for their livelihoods. The lake is also recognized as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, home to rich biodiversity with hundreds of species of freshwater fish, as well as birds, reptiles, and other wildlife.

Depending on water levels and operating conditions, the visit will include one of the accessible floating or stilted villages such as Kompong Phluk or Chong Kneas, which remain open to visitors.

In the evening, you will have free time at your leisure. Alternatively, you may choose to enjoy a performance at Phare, The Cambodian Circus. This is not a traditional circus with animals, but a contemporary performance combining theater, music, dance, and acrobatics. Each show conveys meaningful social stories about Cambodian life and history. The talented performers are well-known for their energy, creativity, and professionalism.

You will have free time at your leisure until your transfer to the airport for a flight to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival, you will be met by our guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in.

The rest of the day is free for you to relax and enjoy the hotel’s facilities, including the swimming pool.

Today, we will explore several of the most remarkable sites in Phnom Penh.

Located at the confluence of the Mekong River, Tonle Sap River, and Bassac River, Phnom Penh was once known as the “Pearl of Asia” during the French colonial period. The city’s rich yet turbulent history, including the era of French rule and the Khmer Rouge regime, has significantly shaped its present-day character.

Our first stop is the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21 Prison), a former high school that was converted into a detention and torture center during the Khmer Rouge regime (1975–1979). It stands today as a powerful reminder of the atrocities committed during that period. It is estimated that more than 14,000–17,000 people were imprisoned here, with very few survivors.

Next, we visit the National Museum of Cambodia, built in 1920 in traditional Khmer architectural style with French colonial influence. It houses the world’s largest collection of Khmer art, including sculptures, ceramics, and religious artifacts dating from the Angkor period and beyond.

We then continue to the Royal Palace, a complex constructed in 1866 that serves as the official residence of the King of Cambodia. The palace remains a symbol of the nation and showcases classic Khmer architecture.

Within the same complex, we will visit the Silver Pagoda, also known as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. It is famous for its floor, which is covered with more than 5,000 silver tiles, as well as its collection of national treasures.

In the evening, you will have free time at your leisure, or you may choose to enjoy an optional sunset cruise along the Mekong River. The cruise offers a relaxing atmosphere with dinner on board, featuring a selection of grilled and BBQ dishes accompanied by local beverages. As you enjoy the sunset, you can observe daily life along the riverbanks, including fishing activities and riverside communities.

After the cruise, return to the port and transfer back to your hotel.

You will have free time at your leisure until your transfer to Sihanoukville. From there, we will continue by speedboat to Koh Rong Samloem.
