Expand all Collapse allContinue to visit Baan Dam (Black House), an eclectic mix of traditional northern Thai buildings interspersed with some outlandish modern designs.
We have lunch then take a boat to cruise on Mae Kok river from Chiang Rai to Karen village where you can watch elephants or feed them.
Heading back to Chiang Rai to overnight.

We visit Opium museum, showing the opium’s history in the past in Thailand. This exhibition portrays every angle of the story, from the history of the Golden Triangle, the origin of opium, the opium war, etc.
Having lunch at the local restaurant at the Golden Triangle, then taking a boat trip along Mekong Kong River to see Thailand, Burma & Laos, confluence at the Golden Triangle. It is known for its beautiful scenery including a large golden Buddha image seated in a boat, an ancient temple on a hill and the House of Opium Museum.
Transferring back to Chiang Rai for departure or transfer directly to Chiang Mai.
