Adventure Trekking Tour in Kayah State

Morning arrival in Loikaw our local guide & driver will pick up and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. Our first stop is to visit Haw Kyaung, a former palace of Shan chieftain which is now converted into a Monastery & the museum. You will chance to learn about the fascinating history and culture of the state through this museum. After a lunch break, spend time to drive through the serene countryside to explore the recently opened Kyat Gu cave system, a sprawling limestone cavern full of mesmerizing geological structures. Last but not least immerse yourself in the beautiful sunset in the top of Taung Kwe Pagoda. The pagoda is perched on top of a limestone outcrop overlooking the city and offers excellent views of the surrounding landscape

After breakfast leave your hotel for a fascinatedly tour today to visit the Padaung minority villages of Pan Pet who are famous for their traditional brass ring necklaces that appear to elongate their necks. Afterwards a local community guide will welcome you and will be your tour guide today as he knows this area like the back of his hand. Taking advantage of the cool morning weather, we will embark a moderate hike along a scenic nature trail to see the beauty landscape of Panpet. As we climb the hill, your guide will stop to introduce you some important cultural sites. The two hour hike ends at a beautiful viewpoint, with a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains, rice fields and the five hamlets of Pan Pet.A picnic lunch served on the way. Afternoon's highlight is the time in Salong Kana village where you will be able to meet with members of the Kayan community to get an insight into the local life and culture. During your time here you will also have a chance to visit traditional Kayan homes and see artisans making Kayan bracelets, weaving traditional textiles, carving wooden statues and other handwork. After a full day spent with these fun loving and artistic people, we say goodbye and return to Loikaw in the late afternoon for your overnight.

Today depart early to Htay Kho village where offers a nice touch of local life of the Kayan community. A welcome and brief introduction by our local community tour guide before we start our hike to the peak of KhawSaMaw Mountain, which is considered to be sacred by local villagers. It takes approx. 4 hours to climb to the peak with stunning view and 2-2,5 hours for downhill walk back to Htay Kho. This mountain trail offers beautiful scenery including of rich farm land, emerald forest. Back to the village spending more time to chat with local villagers to know more about their culture and traditions before heading back to Loikaw for your overnight.

Wake up early to visit the colorful Demawso market where you can observe the daily life of local villagers. Lots of different hill tribes come here to trade their goods. The rest of time would be to explore the area before our departure
