We are excited for the first sailing of our brand new ship, the Scenic Spirit, in January 2016. This awe-inspiring vessel represents a new chapter in the world of river cruising, connecting tradition and innovation.

From the moment you step on-board the Scenic Spirit, you’ll enter our renowned world of all-inclusive river cruise luxury. We aim to deliver the ultimate Mekong experience; we’ve brought our exceptional service to Southeast Asia to ensure we go above and beyond to make every guest’s stay an unforgettable adventure.

The Scenic Spirit is akin to a 5-star floating hotel, offering unrivalled amenities and cutting-edge features including a sleek pool, steam sauna, bar and open-air cinema. And when we say ‘all-inclusive’, we really mean it – you can quite feasibly just bring your passport, and leave your wallet at home. Even the little things you may not even notice such as port charges, bottled water for excursions, Wi-Fi and tipping, are all included.

Royal Panorama Suite

At 80m²/861ft², this is the largest suite on the Mekong river. Being up forward on the Diamond Deck, enjoy fantastic views of the passing scenery from your private terrace with outdoor Jacuzzi and day bed.  Both Suites have a separate lounge and dining area, walk-in dressing room and a luxurious oversized bathroom offering a separate bathtub, toilet and shower.

Grand Deluxe Suite

These eight suites on the Diamond Deck are the ultimate in luxury at 40m²/430ft² with more space, impeccable service and thoughtful touches. Enjoy an outdoor balcony, separate lounge and dining area, extra-large walk in wardrobe and a luxurious oversized bathroom.

Deluxe Suite

These spacious Suites at 32m²/344ft² are located on the Jewel, Sapphire and Diamond Decks. Each have a private full-length balcony, walk in wardrobe and elegant en-suite bathrooms featuring a large vanity basin with a separate toilet and shower.

Arrive at your hotel, your home for a three night Special Stay located in the heart of Siem Reap. Spend the day at leisure until your welcome briefing and dinner.

Day 2: Siem Reap (B, L)

Visit Ta Prohm temple before exploring at Angkor Thom and the multi-faced Bayon Temple. Later in the afternoon visit the colossal Angkor Wat.

Take your Premium reserved seat at the colourful Cambodian Circus, Phare.

Day 3: Siem Reap (B, D)

Marvel at sunrise over the magnificent Angkor Wat before moving to a special location for a champagne breakfast with food prepared by an NGO supported local bakery school.

Discover Banteay Srei and visit the Landmine Museum or admire the skills on display at Artisans D’Angkor. Alternatively, cruise on Tonle Sap (seasonal), take a tuk tuk to the markets, or a tethered balloon ride (weather dependent) above Angkor Wat before visiting a Pouk Silk Farm and Preah Khan Temple.

Be wowed by a Scenic exclusive magical gala dinner at an Angkor temple, with included drinks and a show featuring Apsara dancers in front of candle lit temple ruins.

Day 4: Siem Reap - Mekong Cruise (B, L, D)

Discover Cambodia’s rural countryside on your drive to Kampong Cham where Scenic Spirit awaits.

Day 5: Wat Hanchey - Kampong Cham (B, L, D)

Walk (or drive) to the top of Wat Hanchey, an ancient hilltop pagoda and monastery to meet the resident novice monks. Sail to Kampong Cham.

Learn about the history of the area with a visit to Phnom Pros (Man Hill) and then Wat Nokor. Alternatively explore the ecotourism village of Cheung Kok or spend your time visiting a rubber plantation factory and betel nut village.

Day 6: Angkor Ban - Silk Island - Phnom Penh (B, L, D)

On arrival in Angkor Ban, explore its historical wooden houses, which survived the Khmer Rouge, and visit the local pagoda to observe the lifestyle of resident monks.

Receive a blessing from a monk and learn how to pray in a Buddhist pagoda before partaking in a ceremony, which contributes to the daily meal of the resident nuns and monks.

Later sail downstream to Koh Dach, an island dedicated to the art of silk weaving before continuing your cruise to Phnom Penh.

Enjoy a cocktail reception on the sundeck against the backdrop of Phnom Penh’s lights as the ship sails towards the capital at sunset.

Upon arrival revel in our exclusive Phnom Penh by City Lights tour, giving an insight into the capital’s nightlife.

Day 7: Phnom Penh (B, L, D)

Journey to the Killing Fields and tour Tuol Sleng, or join a hands-on Khmer cooking demonstration. Alternatively, explore by Tuk Tuk Phnom Penh’s colonial buildings and Central Market.

Immerse yourself in the historically celebrated luxury of Raffles, Hotel Le Royal. Enjoy a guided history tour followed by a high tea prepared in front of you, all whilst sipping on the hotel’s signature cocktail. Choose to retire to the Elephant Bar for happy hour before returning to the ship.

Day 8: Phnom Penh - Tan Chau (B, L, D)

Marvel at the Royal Palace, with the famous Silver Pagoda within, on your included visit to this must-see attraction. The afternoon is at your leisure to take advantage of the facilities of the most luxurious ship on the Mekong as you set sail for the border. Celebrate arriving in Vietnam with your themed evening dinner.

Day 9: Tan Chau (B, L, D)

Visit the farmers on Evergreen Island and enjoy a ride in a Xe Loi or cruise by speedboat to Chau Doc and walk through the market, visit a family-operated fish farm and cruise around Chau Doc waterfront. Alternatively visit Tra Su Bird Sanctuary.

Whilst sailing to Sa Dec take the time to sip a cocktail by the pool or enjoy your private balcony.

Day 10: Sa Dec - Cai Be (B, L, D)

Visit historic town of Sa Dec and explore its lively market. Stop for tea at the home of Mr Huynh Thuy Le who inspired Marguerite Duras’ novel L’Amant.

Visit Cai Be before stopping at local cottage industries and a traditional house in the area. Alternatively savour afternoon tea at a French colonial house or choose to stay on board and learn to make cocktails.

Day 11: Mekong Cruise - Ho Chi Minh City (B, L, D)

Drive to Ho Chi Minh City and enjoy an orientation tour around your hotel for the next two nights, the elegant Intercontinental Saigon. Spend the remainder of the afternoon at leisure.

Enjoy a Vespa foodie tour of Saigon by night, enjoy a meal in the surroundings of an old French colonial house or a restaurant specialising in street food. Alternatively, dine at your hotel’s restaurants – Yu Chu, Basilico or Market 39.

Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City (B, L, D)

Travel to the Cu Chi Tunnels and learn about the underground labyrinth of war-time passageways. Visit the Reunification Palace and War Museum before attending tonight’s farewell dinner.

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Cruise (L, D)

After arriving in Vietnam, you will be welcomed and taken to your meeting point. If arriving earlier, please arrive at the Park Hyatt hotel by midday. From here travel by coach to My Tho to board the luxurious Scenic Spirit. Toast the start of your cruise with a cocktail reception. Please book flight to arrive before 8am.

Day 2: Cai Be - Sa Dec (B, L, D)

Board a sampan to visit Cai Be before stopping at local cottage industries and a French colonial or traditional Vietnamese house. Alternatively savour morning tea at a French colonial house or choose to stay on board for your special Freechoice activity.

Later, immerse yourself in the historic town of Sa Dec and explore and interact with the sellers in the lively market, then visit the home of Mr Huynh Thuy Le who inspired Marguerite Duras’ novel L’Amant.

Day 4: Tan Chau - Phnom Penh (B, L, D)

Cross the border into Cambodia and sail to the capital city, Phnom Penh.

Journey to the Killing Fields and tour Tuol Sleng, or join a hands-on Khmer cooking demonstration. Alternatively, by Tuk Tuk explore Phnom Penh’s colonial buildings, the Central Market and the city’s modern architecture.

Arrive in style by Tuk Tuk and immerse yourself in the historically celebrated luxury of Raffles, Hotel Le Royal. Enjoy a guided history tour followed by an indulgent high tea prepared in front of you by the hotel’s chefs, all whilst sipping on your signature cocktail named in honour of Jacqueline Kennedy. Choose to retire to the Elephant Bar for happy hour before returning to the ship viewing the floodlit Independence Monument en-route.

Day 5: Phnom Penh (B, L, D)

Today marvel at the Royal Palace, with the famous Silver Pagoda within, on your included visit to this must-see attraction.

Later sail down the Tonle River and wander through the silversmith village of Kho Chen before continuing your cruise to Kampong Cham via Phnom Penh.

Day 6: Kampong Tralach - Oudong (B, L, D)

In Kampong Tralach, experience an ox cart ride through a local village and fields to Wat Kampong Tralach. Board your coach to the ancient capital of Oudong to visit the impressive pagoda and monastery to observe the lifestyle of the resident monks and nuns.
