Glimpse of Myanmar 6 days

Welcome in Yangon. You will transfer to the hotel on your own. Your room is at your disposal from 14:00 PM onwards. You have free time at your leisure for relax or discover the city. Meals are on your own. Overnight at Yangon
 

Transfer to Yangon Airport for domestic flight to Bagan. Upon arrival in Bagan, transfer to your hotel. Start your exploration with a visit to Nyang U Market which remained in Myanmar for centuries. We then head to Shwezigon pagoda, which is one of the most significant religious buildings in Myanmar. It’s considered as a prototype for later stupas built throughout the country and marked an important development in the relationship between traditional Burmese religion and Theravada Buddhism. Continue on to Gubyaukgyi Temple which features spectacular murals of Jakarta scenes.  Next up is Ananda Temple. A masterpiece in the incorporation of Myanmar and India architectural styles, the temple houses four standing Buddhas, each facing a distinct direction.  After lunch in a local restaurant (lunch is not included) and a short break, visit a local lacquerware workshop. Here, you will have chance to learn more about traditional techniques of craftsmen and admire unique and beautiful products. In the afternoon, visit the famous Thatbyinnyu temple and enjoy the breathtaking sunset beauty from the Shwesandaw Pagoda. Back to your hotel in the late afternoon for relaxing and overnight. Overnight in Bagan

After breakfast, you’ll transfer to Nyang U airport for a flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival take a full day city tour to visit the Mahamuni Pagoda, to admire the most venerated symbol in Myanmar, which is covered in over 15 cm thick gold leaves. Every day at 4:00 AM, many worshippers come here to observe the unique face-washing ceremony. On your way, make a stop to contemplate the laborious process of Gold-Leaf Beating, where gold is painstakingly hammered into tissue-thin squares.
Continue your trip to the Mandalay Palace & Fort, which contains the best portrays of the old golden days of Mandalay Kingdom. Next, your excursion in Mandalay brings you to the Kuthodaw Pagoda, which 729 marble stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures received the title ‘World’s Biggest Book’. Your next destination will be the Shwenandaw Monastery, the only remaining building from the Royal Palace of the 19th century, known for its exquisite woodcarving. Overnight in Mandalay

Today you’ll be transferred to Mandalay airport for a flight to Heho.  Upon reaching to Inle Lake, embark a private motor-boat to head out to Inle Lake, one of the most famous & spectacular sights in Myanmar. On this cruise trip, you will have chance to  pass by the villages built on stilts over the lake, witness the leg-rowing fishermen and see their typical floating gardens. Visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, famous for the 800 years old Five Buddha statues which are covered in gold leaf. To be truly experience the local life of Inle Lake we stop at the weaving village of Inpawkhone and continue to a cheroot factory, where the Burmese make their cigars by hand. If time permits, there may be time to enjoy a short walk through one of the lakeside villages. Overnight on Inle Lake

In the morning transfer to the airport for a flight back to Yangon. Welcome back to Yangon and transfer to hotel for the check in. In the afternoon start your half day city tour with Chaukhtatkyi Pagoda, a huge reclining Buddha, Karaweik Hall, a Royal floating barge on the Royal Lake for a photo stop and, visit the Shwedagon Pagoda described by Somerset Maugham: "The Shwedagon rose superb, glistening with its gold, like a sudden hope in the dark night of the soul of which the mystics write, glistening against the fog and smoke of the thriving city." This massive bell-shaped stupa rises nearly 100 meters above its hill-top surroundings. Wander through this magnificent structure and its courtyards, stupas, bells, Temples, and Buddha images, and see religious and secular visitors from all parts of the globe. Shwedagon has become the symbol of Myanmar. Enjoy the sunset over the Pagoda. Overnight in Yangon
