Day 1 : Lombok arrival – Sembalun (L, D)

Upon arrival at Lombok airport, our tour guide will meet and transfer you to Sembalun village which is a picturesque rural outpost in the fertile foothills of Rinjani Mountain. The trekking guide will collect luggage in the morning for storage at base camp before departing for the trek. You will receive it again at our finish point in Senaru on your last day of trekking. Here you will camp for your overnight or stay at a homestay in local families.

Day 2 : Sembalun- Pelawandan II (B, L, D)

We will start early today and depart from Sasak village of Sembalun Lawang and head out for our start of Lombok trekking adventure. After registering with the office in Rinjani Trek Centre, we set off for trekking to Plawangan Sembulan campsite. First we will pass through flat grasslands of grazing cattle with the landscape growing hillier and challenging as the day progresses. We arrive at the camp in the late afternoon for dinner and prepared for an early night’s sleep. Here you also have chance to observe the spectacular view of Rinjani peak when the clouds dissipate

Day 3 : Pelawandan II- Rinjani Summit – Segara Anak Lake (B, L, D)

We will get up in the predawn hours today (3:00 AM) in order to reach Mount Rinjani peak by sunrise. It will be a challenging ascent to the summit of mountain at 3276 meters in elevation with the final ascent of 1100 meters on rough terrain. Once we reach the summit you will get a reward by relaxing with hot tea and snacks as you watch the sunrise over Segara Anak Crater Lake and Gunung Baru peak in its center. Afterwards we proceed to hike to our base camp for brunch before down to Segara Anak Crater Lake. Continue the descent for a visit to the hot springs of Gua Susu and Pancuran Emas (Gold Fountain). Take time to swim and relax in these hot springs. Dinner is prepared by the team and served at the lake. Overnight at the camp

Day 4 : Segara Anak Lake- Senaru Rim – Pelawangan I (B, L, D)

Morning we walk for around 4 hours around the shore of Lake Segara Anak and approach the new active cone Barujari. Along the way, encounter some hidden hot springs and visit three caves. We then commence our hiking up the Senaru Rim to observe one of the best views of the crater rim and summit along with Segara Anak Lake and Barujari Cone. Overnight in tents at Pelawangan I

Day 5 : Pelawangan I- Mondokan Lolak – Montong Satas – Seneru village – Depart (B, L,)

After breakfast with a beautiful sunrise we will leave Mount Rinjani descend to Senaru village through the rainforest via Mondokan Lolak and Montong Satas. Once we reach the finish point we will bid farewell with porter team and transfer to Senaru village. Senaru is a beautiful town with thick rainforest and waterfalls - well worth exploring for travelers who wish to extend their stay. From Senaru, you’ll be transferred to the airport.
