Realistically you could take several weeks to explore the country, even though it’s pretty small, but if you only have a limited amount of time, this is our recommendation for what you should do based on spending 11 days in Laos.

On arrival at the Luang Prabang airport, you will be warmly welcome and  transferred to hotel by private car.
Check in the hotel and have a rest.

We start the half day trip with first stop at Luang Prabang’s famous Vat Xieng Thong which is one of the most important of Lao monasteries and reserves a significant monument to the spirit of religion, royalty and traditional art where you’ll be suprised by the temple complex’s struture and gold decoration.

Then we make our stop at Vat Mai which brings us a chance to enjoy the impressive architecture of this Laotian city’s unique architecture. After experiencing the Luang Prabang’s rich religious heritage, continue your trip to climb to the top of Mount Phousi which is considered the city’s geographical center and a great lookout place. Have a closer look at  the golden stupa sitting at the peak as you soak up the sweeping views of the surrounding countryside.

The last destination of our tour today would be Luang Prabang’s National Museum, once the country’s royal palace and home to King Sisavangvong in the early 20th century. Explore the museum’s a range of personal artifacts from the Lao royal family as well as the Phra Bang Buddha image and throne from the country’s Lan Xang Kingdom.

In the late afternoon, we will get an oppotunity to join a private Baci ceremony at a local family. The Baci ceremony is a traditional ritual of the Lao people expresses the spirituality of the country and is a highly unforgettable experience and a deep insight into Lao culture for the participants.

You will be served dinner and share with family members which helps us have first-hand experience of local life and culture.

Today, our guide will pick up you at hotel in Luang Prabang city and start our trip to Living Land Lao Organic Farm at Phoung Van village. Upon arrival, the farm owner will give us introduction in briefs about the tradition and activity of the farm.  You will have chacne to experience the real activities and life of a Lao farmer.

You will feel how hard to grow the rice when you try to do all the activities such us ploughing, seeding, manuring, until reaping the harvest. Morever, you will never regret to learn and realize many type of vegetable by visting the garden and our guide will kindly help and teach you well.  Learning all those things for the first time could be a real interesting experience.

After lunch, we will reach one of the most beautiful Kuang Si Falls situated 30 kilometers of Southern Luang Prabang
The Kuang Si Waterfall consists of a tiered many of turquoise pools put amongst the dense Laotian jungle where we will have plenty of time to refreshing swim in the pools and hike around the falls.

You’ll also visit the Kuang Si Falls Butterfly Park, one of the must-visit spots, a project that was newly opened on January 2014 studying about Laos butterflies, host plants and preservation.

 We stop at one of the local villages before getting to Wat Siphouthabath to admire the sunset then find the way back to your hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Luang Prabang.

After breakfast, we will transfer directly to the Elephant Village (start at 8:00 AM in the morning). On arrival at the Elephant Village Camp, welcome and greeting by our camp manager and participate in short briefing about elephants. After that we will enjoy the impressive experience of a 30-minute elephant ride on your elephant’s neck. We then receive basic mahout training on how to control an elephant.

Bathe Your Elephant: Take your own elephant down to the Nam Khan River for an exhilarating bathing experience!
Boat trip to the Tad Sae Waterfall: Take a traditional Lao long boat to the Tad Sae Waterfall and relax in the clear water.
We are free to stroll around the Elephant Village before transferring back to city center

After breakfast, we take a local boat on Mekong river in 2 hours to reach the best famous and spiritual Pak Ou Buddha Caves, where we could have a look at confluence of the Mekong & Ou Rivers. Since the 16 century, the villagers built many thousands of Buddha images here.

On the way, you will stop at Ban Muang Keo, a famous village for its traditional Lao rice whisky production. You will arrive back in Luang Prabang in the late afternoon and continue by road transfer to the outskirts of town to visit Ban Xangkhong , a village well-known for its wood paper making and also Lao silk weavings with natural dyes.

You will stay overnight in Luang Prabang.

We leave the city in the early morning  for our journey to the  Northern; we will see some stunning landscape on the way as we pass through beautiful countryside towards the mountainous region.

Along the way,  we will experience the colorful market of KM52 where local people come to trade goods and buy provisions.
We may  stop to take a photo at Hin Heup bridge, and the fish market in Ban Tha Heua. We reach our destination Vang Vieng which lies on the Nam Song River with the limstone hill landscape surrounding the town.

In the afternoon, we  continue our trip by passing through paddy field areas heading to Tham Phoukham caves  which is  located  to the northeast of the village of Ban Na Thong . On the way, you will experience  the local cultures by greeting the local people and learning about their daily lifestyle. There is a small natural pool named Blue Lagoon in front of the caves  where you can take a swim and relax by yourself or you could explore the nearby area.

Return to town, we will take the leisurely boat along the Namsong River while enjoying the sun setting behind the mountains.

There are home to there are  numerous caves and caverns in the limestone cliffs and valleys surrounding the resort complex of Vang Vieng The and one of the most well known of these caves is Tham Jang, which was shelter for the local people against from from Chinese invaders 200 years ago. We visit the unique caves this morning before make a stroll to the Tai Deang and the Souay hill tribe villages. The hill tribe people are unfailingly friendly; welcoming you with waving hands and smilling faces.

Afternoon we continue our trip to  the capital, Vientiane. Arrival Vientiane, check in hotel.

The rest of the day is free for your own exploration of the town and relaxation.

In the morning, we begin our trip with first destination of Wat Si Muang, which is very well-known for its supernatural power.

We then  reach the Buddha Park  after 45 - minute by road transfer. On the way, we  make a brief stop and take photos of the Friendship Bridge, built by the Australian government in 1994, which connect Laos and Thailand. On arrival, we go around the Buddha Park (Xieng Khuan) with more than 200 Buddhist and Hindu statues. The tranquil setting along the Mekong River is a contrast to the slightly eccentric sculptures built in 1958 by a Laos shaman. The concrete sculptures are unique and intriguing, sitting majestically in the peaceful park.

In the afternoon, we discover the main sights of the capital; including the oldest Wat Sisaket, the temple with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. En route  to Lao’s national icon, the well -known and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, we stop enroute to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph. A spectacular view over the Mekong River at sunset is a perfect way to finish the day.

After breakfast, you have free time before transferring to airport to take the flight to Pakse.

Upon arrival at the airport, our guide and driver will pick up you and drive direcly to  Pakse and onto the Bolaven Plateau.
The first stop is the visit of Tad Lo waterfalls, a beautiful formation of three separate falls. From the bridge, you will first see Tad Hang and then Tad Lo in the distance. The most impressive of the three, Tad Suong, is located a further 10km upriver.
From there, we will drive to the small village of Ban Houay Houn, famous for its Katu textiles. Here, you will have the chance to observe the women weaving without a traditional loom but using their legs to stretch the fabric.
We will have chance to enjoy the scenery around Tad Fan waterfall, which is spectacular with twin waterfalls plummeting into a deep gorge surrounded by flourishing vegetation. Overnight at Bolaven Plateau.
After breakfast, we departure for Champasak.
Arriving in Champasak, visit Wat Phou, an ancient Khmer religious complex dating back to the 5th Century.
Recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, Wat Phou is a spectacular pre-Angkorian temple that sits amidst the rice fields and waterways of southern Laos.  The temple was constructed in three levels: the bottom level is focused on the baray (water reservoir) and promenade, the second level features quadrangular pavilions and galleries of carvings, and the top level is the sanctuary itself.  The temple was built during the rule of the Khmer empire before the construction of Angkor Wat. The temple served as the most important economic and political centre of the region and still is one of the Lao people’s most revered temples.
After your visit, we continue in to Champasak to see samples of French colonial architecture before transferring to Khong island to spend the night. Overnight at Khong Island.
Heading out of town we embark on a long tail boat for venturing into the widest reach of the Mekong River, where during the dry season the waters recede and leave behind thousands of islets, giving this area a lovely name” Si Phan Done”. Upon arrival, explore the local peaceful villages of Ban Khone, where you will see an array of relics from the French colonial era and retrace the old colonial past, including old French colonial buildings and the remnants of the first Lao railway with its locomotive. We continue to discover the 4000 islands area by tuktuk and visit the marvelous Liphi waterfall, also called the "Corridor of the Devil" one of the most beautiful waterfalls marking Lao border with Cambodia. If we are lucky, we may even see the rare freshwater Irrawaddy Mekong dolphin at Ban Hang Khone. We return to the mainland at the fishing village of Ban Nakasang and drive further south to visit Khone Phapheng. Khone Phapheng is considered the largest waterfall by volume in South East Asia; this is an impressive spot near the Lao-Cambodian border, set within an area which is teeming with wildlife, making this area one of the most breathtaking destinations in Laos. Afterwards we drive back to Pakse. Overnight in Pakse
You are free to make a stroll around the town before transferring directly to Ubon Ratchathani (Thailand) via Chongmek border to take the departure flight. End of services.
